You think you're tough? You think you're in some kinda action movie? You think you're keeping it real? As if.
Little girls, meet Jen. Jen is a documentary filmmaker. Living opposite one of the most dangerous cities in the world with over 3,000 murders in 2010, Jen rightfully observes that the American press is doing nothing to explore the lasting effect that drug cartel violence has on families in Juarez, Mexico.
News agencies are understandably wary-- reporters and their families are consistent targets for drug cartel hitmen. Innocent people (including Americans visiting the city) are murdered in cartel crossfire every day.
Back to Jen. Jen is upset. So does she blog about it or write a letter to her congressman? Bitch, please. This is Jen. She takes a video camera and makes a documentary, spending her summer wandering the city and interviewing people between the violence. To top it all off, she recorded the physical destruction and human resilience... on a bicycle. A goddamn bike.
